Like Father Like Son Vilebrequin Bathing Suits

Being the mom of two boys, I’ve always been clothing challenged and never had the fun my girlfriends had dressing their daughters. When Father’s Day rolls around, it’s my turn.  Each year I splurge on matching Vilebrequin bathing suits.  The moment I saw the Vilebrequin boy’s swim suits in miniature versions of daddy’s bathing trunks, I was hooked.

Vilebrequin is known for its luxury French beachwear in bright colorful designs. Both the men’s and boy’s swim trunks come in fun patterns like jellyfish, parrots, beach cabanas, and turtles.  Men’s trunks are offered in traditional or long boxer shorts styles [$185-$225] and the boy’s bathing suits start at 6 months and go up to 9 years old [$95-$105].

Sure they’re pricey but the great look and superior quality set these bathing suits apart from the rest.  They are made of a luxuriously soft quick drying nylon with a unique cotton feel.  My husband has one suit that is going on its third summer and still in great shape. Besides it’s fun to bring a little Saint Tropez to your town swim club.

Not only does my husband love getting his Vilebrequin bathing suit on Father’s Day (he pretends he’s surprised), but my kids get a kick out of wearing the same swimsuit as daddy.  I myself love getting the annual picture of all my boys in their matching suits at the beach.  Who says that boy moms can’t have fun!
