The Fridge Grid

This is a refridgerator calendar by BusyBody BooksAre you ready Moms?  Back-to-school is here!  I, for one, am excited (and not ashamed to admit it).  As much as I adore my three children, and have cherished every outdoor activity we participated in this summer — from catching lightning bugs to hunting jellyfish at the beach — I’m done.  I do know how hectic things can get, however, so I’ve been researching organization tools to help my husband, the kids and me coordinate our busy schedules.Like most families, our kitchen is the central hub of our home.  More specifically, the refrigerator door is where the magic happens.  Scribbled bits of paper, artwork, business cards, photos and other scraps, find themselves magnetized to its door.  I knew I needed something better.

So I found ‘The Fridge Grid’ by BusyBodyBook Organizers ($11.95 on  The Fridge Grid is a weekly calendar and organizer all in one.  The 52 pages are designed as a grid with boxes for each day’s activities and appointments for each family member.  I organize the columns (one for each member of my family and then one for ‘All’, for activities we’ll do together) on the top and put the days of the week on the left.  It makes it super-easy to see who’s doing what on each day.  There’s even a ‘Notes’ column; a nice wide space for phone numbers, reminders or messages we need to leave each other.  I like using it for my on-going food shopping list.

The Fridge Grid is magnetic — very magnetic — there’s none of that annoying sliding down going on.  Its 8 1/2 by 11 inch size is perfect for the refrigerator door — it still leaves plenty of room for all those pictures and artwork we still want to stick on the fridge!
