ecostore Ecostore ProductsDid you say “Bath time?” How about “Time to do the laundry?” What you should be saying is “Horror Time.”  I mean really. What mother (or any living person, for that matter) looks forward to these activities? Now you have to take into account that I have three children under the age of three and you will truly appreciate just how much I despise the never ending piles of laundry that occupy my home and the dreaded nightly ritual that involves pleading with a two-year-old to stand up please so I can just wash your tushie!Just when I thought the drudgery of these chores would make me lose my mind, along came two new products that lifted both my spirits and my conscience. They are baby shampoo and Laundry Liquid from a company called Ecostore.

Ecostore’s products are plant based with no nasty chemicals and dyes.  They’re good for the environment and, thanks to the eucalyptus oil, a refreshing change of pace from ordinary bath and laundry products.  But do they work?  A product can be good for the environment but if it can’t get spaghetti sauce out of a white onesie then I’m not interested.  In fact, I’m happy to report that my laundry has come out just as clean as with the “other” product.  And my kids’ hair?  Just as squeaky clean.  What’s interesting is that every time I use them I feel kind of good.  Like I’m doing my part, whatever that means.

Can I say that doing the laundry is no longer dreary?  Do I no longer shudder when 6:30 rolls around I realize that all three of my children have various pieces of dinner in their hair?  Of course not.  But, when the kids are in the bath and I pour Ecostore’s shampoo into my palm, the fresh minty smell takes me momentarily to that spa in Waikiki, the one I went to before I even knew what a spit up stain looked like.  I like that place and hope to return there one day.

All EcoStore products are made from plant- and mineral-based ingredients and free of toxic-materials.  In addition the people at Ecostore found a way to safely super-concentrate their formulations meaning that a little really does go a long way – saving you money by cutting down significantly on cost per use.

Both the Ecostore Laundry Liquid and the Baby Shampoo retail for $11.  To purchase products go to
