Summer Infant Carter’s Comfort Reclining Wood High Chair

wood high chairMy first little girl was not an eater.  I slaved away for hours making homemade cauliflower-coated chicken nuggets, lightly battered halibut fish sticks, squash puree mixed with the breadcrumbs, 10-vegetable chicken noodle soup, anything nutritious that I thought she might possible let slide past her lips.  No luck.

My second child lives to eat.  And it is my pleasure to feed her.

We recently got a Summer Infant Carter’s Wild Life Classic Comfort Reclining Wood High Chair and it has been a big hit in our kitchen.  Mealtimes at our house can go on for hours so it is nice to know that she now has a comfortable perch from where to watch, eat and participate when we are in the kitchen.

The plush seat is cushy and inviting – it is not a cold vinyl like many of the other high chairs I’ve tried.  One of my baby’s favorite games is to take her food and smash it into her seat until it oozes everywhere.  She is particularly fond of doing this with peas and carrots but luckily it is no longer a problem.  The Summer Infant High Chair seat is so easy to clean you can wipe the whole thing down in a matter of seconds.

It also has a 3 position recline so that if you are just starting to introduce solids to your infant you can recline him a bit and help him relax.  The seat is adorable and the espresso wood finish compliments any home décor.

My older daughter really enjoys sitting in high chairs.  She is far too old for one and it is completely unnecessary but I indulge her once in a while anyway.  Tonight I’m going to make a deal with her – she is welcome to sit in the Summer Infant Carter’s Wild Life Classic High Chair every time she agrees to eat my homemade broccoli-battered chicken.  Win-win.
