Kitchen Dreams #DeltaFaucetInspired

My kitchen needs a lot of work; I dream of having a granite counter top, a stainless steel sink, a more appealing back splash, updated appliances, and the list goes on and on. It seems overwhelming but you’ve got to start somewhere. So when Delta Faucet offered to send me a new faucet, I was excited to start my dream kitchen journey.  Here is my current faucet situation:

And this is going to be my new faucet:

The Delta Cassidy Faucet with Touch 20 technology. Great looking and super practical!

It’s the kind of faucet that will become the focal point of my new kitchen. In fact, I plan to build the look of my dream kitchen around it. I’ve been collecting pictures to inspire me in my new kitchen journey on my Inspired Living – Kitchen Pinterest board.

I pinned a great kitchen with a fun, vibrant back splash that my kitchen is sorely missing. I’m tired of the dull, light brown squares that currently adorn my kitchen. There’s nothing that livens up a space more than a unique back splash. It gives a kitchen it’s personality.

Other inspiring ideas I pinned, include an open designed kitchen that overflows with light. I’m a big fan of light. (Who isn’t?) I am drawn to kitchens with beautiful lighting fixtures that immediately catch the eye. My other pins reflect my  hope to incorporate fun organizational concepts into my design-  like the kitchen I found that hides unwieldy appliances or the one that reveals an amazing pantry. I even found a counter island with a spot for a dog underneath! I love ideas that create solutions while still being organic to the design.

I think my style is traditional contemporary. If there is such a thing. I like modern designs with a classic feel to them. Most of the kitchens I like have that theme going on.

Any kitchen updates I make will be slow-going because of our budget although I feel like even one improvement can transform the look of a room, whether it’s a light, a new nook or even a faucet! One step at a time. I’m sure once I get my Delta Faucet put in, I will find plenty more kitchen ideas to add to my Inspired Living-Kitchen board.
